Making your own perfume is one of the best feelings in the world ever. The only thing you need to keep in mind is to collect all the natural ingredients and a beautiful glass perfume bottle. The first attraction of any perfume is the way it is stored whereas the second noticeable thing is its fragrance.
After you have collected a bottle, the next step is to find out a little bit about the top note, base note and the middle note. It is important to use any of the one note in the DIY perfume for women.
The top note generally refers to body mist. It is not actually a perfume but a little fragrant liquid that quickly fades away. On the other hand, when we talk about the middle note, it is the intricate part of any perfume. It takes a couple of hours to fade away. The best is the base note which is the strongest and perpetual.
The Perfume fragrance has to be pleasant because of which base note cannot be used. The fragrance of base note is not so enticing in nature. Therefore, I would like to teach you DIY perfume using middle note –
The best ideas for signature perfume includes combinations of orange, lavender and ylang ylang, /lemongrass lavender and lime/ lavender and sweet marjoram or any other combo that comes in your wildest imagination. It all depends on the way you wish to treat your olfactory nerves. The blend of correct essential oil and fragrance creates a versatile perfume every time.
List of few essential oils
- Lavender/ lime / Sandalwood for keeping away stress
- Use Rosewood/ bergamot / palmarosa / Jasmine for happy mood
- Courage use blue cypress / blue tansy / galbanum / Sandalwood / Rose / spruce / lavender
(Exceptionally, you can also create a room freshener using Rosemary, lemongrass, lavender or myrtle as the essential oil).
Make sure that you use everything that belongs to the best quality and manufacturing standards. Never ever trust the labels that enlist therapeutic properties on the packaging. There are so many companies who are selling adulterated essential oils for making themselves rich. Instead of falling prey to such scams, the best is to rely upon 100% genuine sellers.
Let’s begin –
- Top 30%
- Middle 50%
- Base 20%
It is time to make DIY perfume for women and store it in a beautiful glass perfume bottle as an epitome of your talent.
The best part of DIY perfume for women is that you can manipulate things the way you want. Since it is your own signature of fragrance, no one has to say a word about it. Simply start by dropping two drops of vanilla, 3 drops of orange and 5 drops of Jasmine as the base of the perfume.
Mix everything very well and let the fragrance of each ingredient blend. Smell it, you would love it. Also, do not forget to take frequent breaks because repeated sniffing can make your nose ill. As soon as you decide the combination of the perfume, you are good to create a DIY scent.
Things you will need:
- 4 tablespoon of vodka
- 30 – 40 drops of essential oils
- 2 tablespoon of distilled water (we strictly ask you to avoid facet water)
- Coffee filter
Make sure the glass perfume bottle is absolutely spick and span. Now mix the (selected variety or just one) essential oils together and make sure you blend it in the correct ratio. That should not be more than 6 to 8 drops of base, 9 to 15 crops of top and middle of 15 to 20 drops. You can enhance the quantity of base in order to make the perfume strong.
Add all the ingredients together and shake them up in a bottle for at least 50 seconds. Next step is to store it in a cool dark place for 48 hours – 6 weeks. Any perfume at least takes that much of time to develop properly. After it’s all completed, add some distilled water and shake it more.
Toss the mixture in a coffee filter with the help of a funnel. After that, transfer the perfume in a perfume bottle while maintaining your patience.
Now it is ready to use and it is going to smell absolutely the way you want it.
Is there any way to perpetuate the smell?
Yes, if you wish the DIY perfume to smell for few more hours, apply it on your clothes instead of body. Also, make sure that you use it in a little more quantity than the normal commercial perfumes. The fancy chemical filled perfumes just need 2 – 3 pumps to work well. However, when u DIY perfume, it need at least 5 sprays or maybe more depending upon how much base is used.
